Bevo's Horn were led to their 8.0 point victory by a 38.0 point effort from Peyton Manning, who beat the New England Patriots defense for 327 passing yards and 4 passing TDs. With this performance, Manning was the number 2 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 10. They also got help from a 27.5 point effort from Brandon Marshall, who beat the Washington Redskins defense for 134 receiving yards and 2 receiving TDs in addition to 9 rushing yards.
"The important thing is that we won," Bevo's Horn coach Jester said.
Verona Venom were helped out in a losing cause by a 33.0 point effort from Donovan McNabb, who tore apart the San Diego Chargers defense for 450 passing yards and 2 passing TDs. With this performance, McNabb was the number 3 ranked quarterback for week 10. They also got help from a 17.5 point effort from Ladell Betts, who beat the Denver Broncos defense for 114 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD in addition to 6 receiving yards.
"The final score is the only statistic that matters," Verona Venom coach Chef Dawg said.
Compounding the issue, Verona Venom could have scored 137.5 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Chef Dawg left key players like the Cincinnati Bengals Defensive Team and his corresponding 19.0 points on the bench.
This brings the record for Bevo's Horn to 5-5, and drops Verona Venom to a record of 3-7.
